Montessori Vancouver
Eleanor Chan

Eleanor is the guide for the afternoon class and the assistant for the morning class. She was born and raised in Hong Kong until she immigrated to Vancouver in her elementary school years. She was always interested in working with children, so in high school she started first volunteering, then working with children in various capacities. After she obtained her bachelor’s degree from SFU, she pursued her career in early childhood education. She studied at the Montessori Training Center of BC and in 2012 graduated with an AMI Montessori Teaching Certificate for 3-6 year olds and an Early Childhood Educator Certificate for BC. Since then, Eleanor’s work experience at Montessori preschools has strengthened her teaching abilities and her love for the Montessori philosophy. In her spare time, she likes to: travel, scrapbook, read, bike, and snowboard.
